Jewellery Repairs

J A Wren offers a full repair service for your jewellery and watch requirements. Whether it is a lost diamond or a battery for a cherished watch, come to us for a full service. With trained sales staff with years of experience we can advise how best to repair an engagment ring with lost claws or a wedding ring that needs resizing. All items are fully insured while they are on the premises and all work is guaranteed.

Engraving

We offer a selection of services which require engraving. We can engrave on trophies with machine or hand engraving - we can even engrave inside a wedding band for a very special momento of that special day.

Rhodium plating

Some jewellery items such as white gold wedding rings, the settings of many engagment rings and some silver items are electroplated with rhodium to enhance their appearance and protect them from wear. Occassionally through time this plating can wear off or become damaged. We offer a rhodium plating service which will bring a new sparkle back to these items. With a polish and a good cleaning before electroplating, these items can look as good as new.

Pearl re-stringing

Believe it or not, pearl stringing is a real art and it takes considerable skill to re-string a pearl necklace to get the tension and the correct fall of the necklace round the neck. Our skilled service will restore a tired string of pearls by re-knotting between each pearl to prevent the loss of pearls should the necklace accidently break. With knots between each pearl only one pearl will escape!.
